Sergio Aguero has been Manchester City's star man for some time, but over the course of the last 12 months, doubts have risen over the striker's future.

The Argentina international has consistently performed for the North-West outfit since his move to the club from Atletico Madrid in 2011.

For some reason, Aguero has never won PFA Player of the Year, despite the fact that he has been in the race for the Premier League Golden Boot numerous times.

Last season, manager Pep Guardiola suggested that the 29-year-old may have a more limited role by playing Gabriel Jesus.

However, in the latter stages of the campaign, which ended in a Premier League title win for City, Aguero was used regularly.

According to Spanish publication AS, the prolific striker, who scored 30 goals and created seven assists in all competitions last season, wants to return to Atletico.

Aguero spent five years of his career at the La Liga side before switching to City.

Now, it seems that he wants to go back to his former club, but City fans are not having any of it.
