If there ever were a player who deserved a summer break after a long, hard season of football then Bernardo Silva is that man.

The Portuguese star's energy was incredible as he enjoyed an impressive campaign with Manchester City, helping Pep Guardiola's side to back-to-back Premier League triumphs.

Having also inspired his country Portugal to get their hands on the Nations League at the expense of the Netherlands, Silva took to

In 51 games across all competitions for City, the 24-year-old found the back of the net 13 times and showed off his incredible selflessness with 14 assists too.

His performances throughout the season led to him being named in the PFA Team of the Year, joining five of his fellow City teammates in the selection.

Indeed, Silva was also voted the Etihad Player of the Season, polling 48% of the entire vote.

Despite Guardiola's men achieving unprecedented success domestically, they missed out on arguably their main objective when they were knocked out of the Champions League quarter-finals by Premier League rivals Tottenham.

Nonetheless, Silva has more than deserved a month or so to recharge his batteries.
