Manchester City have had an initial offer of around £8m rejected for Dinamo Zagreb ace Ante Coric and will have to make a ‘significant’ bid if they are to snap up the youngster, according to reports from TuttoMercatoWeb.
The 19-year-old has enjoyed a fine 2016 so far, helping his club side to the Croatian title before winning a spot in his nation’s EURO set-up.
Coric, who has been linked with a host of big name clubs from across the continent, has emerged as a target for Man City of late as they look to recruit talented, young players, but reports claim that they will need to up their initial bid for him.
It’s understood that an offer of $10m (£7.7m) has been rebuffed by Dinamo, who want a much higher sum for their teen sensation.
Coric, who plays as an attacking midfielder, has been capped twice at senior international level despite his tender age.
