Big money Chelsea pair ready to join Prem rivals if managerial move happens

Both Cesc Fabregas and Pedro could be tempted by shock moves from Chelsea to Manchester City if Pep Guardiola is named as the Citizens’ next manager, according to reports from Don Balon.

The Spanish duo both cost the Blues sizable fees, with the midfield playmaker joining from Barcelona in 2014 before his compatriot followed over the summer just gone.

The pair have endured difficult seasons so far this term under now sacked manager Jose Mourinho, while their status under interim boss Guus Hiddink is as of yet unknown with the Dutchman having not yet taken change of a match in west London.

However, both shone while working for Guardiola at Barca, and reports claim that they could be tempted to pack their bags and head to the Etihad Stadium should the current Bayern Munich boss succeed Manuel Pellegrini this summer.

The iconic tactician is set to leave the Bavarian giants in around six months’ time, with City eager to get him on board when their own manager’s contract expires.

Should Guardiola move to City, he may look to sign players he knows can thrive under his guidance.
