Paris Saint-Germain have made Manchester City’s Sergio Aguero their main target as they look to life after Zlatan Ibrahimovic and are willing to pay close to £65m for him, according to reports from CalcioMercatoWeb.
The Argentine is considered to be one of the finest strikers on the planet and since his arrival at the Etihad Stadium in 2011 he’s helped the club to two Premier League titles.
His form has led to numerous links with Real Madrid, however, it’s now PSG who are thought to be the most interested potential suitor.
Reports from CMW, citing France Football, claim that the Middle Eastern-backed French giants are eager to land Aguero as they prepare for the exit of Ibrahimovic, whose contract expires next summer.
The former Atletico Madrid man is seen as just the sort of talismanic figure the reigning Ligue 1 champions want and they’re willing to pay €88m (£64.88m) to land him.
Such a figure would be the third highest fee received by an English club, with Spurs’ £86m Gareth Bale deal with Real the largest.
