Ex-Man City boss plots £30m Premier League raid

Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini

Roberto Mancini has been given a £30million transfer budget to spend in January, and the new Galatasary boss has already identified several Premier League players as targets, according to the Daily Mail.

Mancini has ambitious plans for the Turkish giants, and has been given assurances by Gala president Unal Aysal that he will be allowed to bring in his own targets.

Mancini will look to bring in players as early as January, and is likely to recruit at least one player he knows well from his Manchester City days.

The Premier League winning boss has also been assured he will be allowed to make one ‘world class’ signing.

Muzzi Ozcan – the agent who brokered Galatasary’s move for  Mancini – explained how Mancini has the full backing of the board in the transfer market.

“Mancini has the full backing of the Galatasaray directors in the transfer policy. If I get instructions from Galatasaray then I will bring them a world class player,” he said.

Mancini was announced as the new manager on Monday, on a contract that is reportedly worth £5million a year. Former Blackburn midfielder Tugay is set to be named as his assistant, and the pair’s first job will be to lift morale at a club that has endured a tough start to the season.

The Turkish champions are currently languishing in 10th position of their league, and are sitting bottom of Champions League Group B after conceding six at home to Real Madrid in their opening game.
