Forget Man City, five other clubs that should sign this BuLi wonderkid

There’s been a few players that have dominated the transfer rumour mill this summer and Schalke starlet Leroy Sane is no exception.

The 20-year-old winger has been the subject of intense transfer speculation as rumours continue to mount that Manchester City want to bring the player to England. But with City’s interest seemingly waning due to Schalke refusing to drop their valuation of £42million, there has been talk as to whether the youngster will be on the move at all this summer.

But should he jump the Schalke ship, where could he end up? After all, if his club are holding out for such a high transfer fee, only a select few will be able to stump up such a large sum of cash.

But whilst the transfer fee is big, the potential Sane holds is also extremely exciting so it would be no waste of money at all if his performances last season were anything to go by.

So, with that in mind, here are FIVE potential clubs that could move for the winger…

Loved by many, Jurgen Klopp seems determined to craft a Liverpool squad capable of competing for the league next season.

However, his transfer additions have been met by slight scepticism from some supporters who have branded the likes of Karius, Wijnaldum and Klavan as a little average.

But bringing in someone of Sane’s ability would be the complete opposite – he’s highly regarded as one of Europe’s hottest prospects and there will certainly be some competition for his signature if Schalke drop their valuation.

One of the worlds’ richest clubs, PSG are quite capable of competing with any side when it comes to meeting transfer valuations quite simply because they have so much dough.

But would a play like Sane improve their squad?

Quite simply, yes. It’s difficult to see him completely overtaking the likes of Di Maria, Edinson Cavani and new signing Hatem Ben Arfa straight away, but what an option to have from the bench, or if there are senior injuries/suspensions.

Guangzhou Evergrande

The reigning Asian Champions League winners aren’t short of a few bob and haven’t been afraid to let their presence in Chinese football be heard over the past couple of years.

They’ve handed out eye-watering deals to the likes of Jackson Martinez, Paulinho and former Brazil head coach Luiz Felipe Scolari.

Anyone doubting their ability to bring in top players should really assess the current climate in club football.

The fact of the matter is this- will Sane choose development and international credentials or wealth beyond imagination?

Manchester United

Jose Mourinho has taken little time to settle in at Old Trafford and has delighted the United supporters by bringing in the likes of Zlatan Ibrahimovic and Henrikh Mkhitaryan with little hesitation.

However, you can’t help but feel that there is one more name to come from Mourinho, who is setting United up for quite the season ahead- and it could it be Leroy Sane?

The youngster would be at one of, if not the biggest club in England and his development at Carrington would be first-class.

Win-win right?

Off course, one option that hasn’t really been considered an awful lot is the prospect of Sane staying in Germany with Schalke.

Lets be honest, it’s a cracking place to stay and get first-team minutes, often in front of crowds in excess of 60,000.

He made over 40 appearances for the club last season, scoring nine goals. Sane is really seen as a huge part of the set-up for Schalke in West Germany and perhaps it might just be better should he stay.

At 20-years-old, there is plenty of time for big-money transfers in the future but right now, first-team minutes and continual development should be at the forefront of his mind.
