French giants eye Man City ace with Juve star a replacement

Ligue 1 champions Paris Saint-Germain are at the front of the queue for Yaya Toure should he elect to leave Manchester City at the end of the season, according to reports from the Daily Star.

The Ivorian is currently away with his country at the African Cup of Nations, and recently plunged his future into doubt by revealing that he’s not sure whether or not he’ll be playing for the Sky Blues next season.

This has alerted PSG, who are understood to be ready to pay around £20m for the 31-year-old midfield powerhouse.

Toure’s current Etihad Stadium contract expires in two-and-a-half-years’ time, and despite claims he’s happy, the experienced ace’s actions – including a stunning reaction to City’s lack of celebration of his birthday – last season have left the door open for an exit.

Should the rampaging midfielder head away, City are keen on Juventus’ Paul Pogba as a replacement.
