Phil Foden, the poster boy for Manchester City's academy stars to look up to, recently signed a new five-and-a-half-year contract with the reigning Premier League champions to take his stay with the club until at least 2024.

However, fans are becoming impatient with Pep Guardiola for not starting the England Under-21 star, including fans of other clubs who are desperate to see the midfielder - dubbed the 'Stockport Iniesta' - become a hero for England in future.

The 18-year-old has made just eight appearances in the Premier League this season for the Citizens, with all of them coming from the substitutes bench as the Spanish boss opts to play his world-class stars such as Bernardo Silva, David Silva and Riyad Mahrez ahead of the teenager; in fairness, most managers would, but City fans feel he isn't getting enough game time for the sake of his own development.

So, do you think Foden is in the right place to fulfil his massive potential? Or do you think he needs to follow Jadon Sancho's lead and jump ship? Have your say down below...
