Incoming Man City boss has plan in place to snap up Liverpool hero

Pep Guardiola is keen to lure Barcelona forward Luis Suarez to Manchester City this summer – with the help of his brother, and the Uruguayan’s agent, Pere, according to reports from The Express.

The Spaniard is set to succeed Manuel Pellegrini in the Etihad Stadium dugout this summer, once his spell with Bayern Munich comes to an end.

With Man City having endured a tricky 2015/16, it’s widely expected that Guardiola will be handed significant funds to fuel an overhaul in the North West, and reports claim that he wants former Liverpool star, Suarez.

The 29-year-old is represented by the Media Base Sports agency, which is run by the soon-to-be Citizens’ chief’s brother, Pere, and he’s hopeful that this relationship can be used to lure ‘El Pistolero’ back to the Premier League.

Suarez is considered to be among the best players on the planet, and has been a huge hit since joining Barca in 2014 for a £65m fee, netting 42 La Liga goals.

Prior to his move to Spain, the controversial hit-man struck 31 in the Premier League as Liverpool came close to claiming the 2013/14 title.
