Incoming Man City boss wants to work with talented star at third different club

Pep Guardiola is already planning a move to coach Thiago Alcantara at a THIRD different club when he officially takes control at Manchester City this summer, according to reports from the Guardian.

The silky playmaker broke through at Barcelona under the stewardship of the Spaniard, before following him to Bayern Munich.

Although injuries have disrupted his spell in the Bundesliga, Thiago remains a Guardiola favourite thanks to his technical ability and versatility, and reports claim that the incoming City chief is once again keen on the £25m-rated 24-year-old.

With Yaya Toure’s future in doubt, the former Nou Camp star appears to be a worthwhile target, with his playing style more akin to the ex-Barca coach’s approach than that of the Ivorian.

Last year Thiago spoke of his relationship with Guardiola claiming that both have a lot of “faith” in one another.
