Likely Man City departure set to snub Inter transfer – determined to stay in PL

According to reports from Mirror Football, Yaya Toure is set to snub a transfer to Inter Milan this summer because the Manchester City midfielder wants to stay in the Premier League.

The Ivory Coast international has registered 260 appearances across all competitions for the Citizens, helping them win Premier League titles in 2012 and 2014, but has been widely tipped to leave the club during the coming transfer window.

City are yet to renew the 32-year-old’s contract past the end of next season and outspoken agent Dimitri Seluk claimed earlier this week that Toure will ‘definitely‘ leave the Etihad outfit at the end of the campaign.

The powerful midfielder has been linked with a transfer to Serie A outfit Inter Milan, who are managed by former City boss Roberto Mancini, but Mirror Football claim he’s set to snub a reunion with the Italian at the San Siro.

That’s because Toure doesn’t want to leave England, where his family have settled well since arriving from Barcelona in 2010, suggesting a move to a rival Premier League club instead.

Last month, Mirror Football quoted an unnamed source close to the 100-cap international as saying; “Yaya and the family are very happy in the UK, they enjoy living here and see no reason to change.

“Also, Yaya has extended family here including brothers [elder sibling Kolo plays for Liverpool] and sisters.”

In other news, Toure has been ruled out of Manchester City’s Champions League clash with PSG this evening.
