Liverpool face ‘take-it-or-leave-it’ Man City mega offer

Manchester City are preparing a take-it-or-leave-it £45m offer to snap up Raheem Sterling from Liverpool, according to reports from Goal.

The Sky Blues are believed to be leading the race for the Reds’ wantaway attacker, whose desire to leave the Anfield giants has been clear since his agent, Aidy Ward, allegedly slated the Merseyside club for their handling of the situation and insisted that wages of £900,000-per-week would not be enough to keep the 20-year-old.

City have so far had offers of £30m and £35m knocked back by Liverpool, but despite the double blow, reports claim that they’re ready to go back into a deal worth up to £45m.

It’s thought that £40m will be paid up front, with a further £5m coming in add-ons.

Sterling is yet to hand in a transfer request, but he may eventually opt to do so in a bid to force his employers to accept.

Reports claim that such a sum may be enough to sway Liverpool’s firm stance that the England international is not for sale.
