Man City boss looking to sign Bayern star for the second time in 18 months

Manchester City manager Pep Guardiola is keen to raid Bayern Munich to snap up impressive youngster Joshua Kimmich, according to reports from the Daily Mail.

The 21-year-old was one of the breakthrough stars of the Spaniard’s last season at the Allianz Arena, with the ex-Barcelona tactician handing him regular game time as he converted him from a defensive midfielder to a promising right-back.

Guardiola was in charge of the club when they signed Kimmich for just £6m from RB Leipzig in January 2015, and reports claim that only 18 months on from that he’s eyeing a £20m move for the versatile ace.

The Bayern man recently shone on the right hand side of Germany’s backline at EURO 2016, with his performances earning him a slot in the official Team of the Tournament.

Right-back is seemingly a problem area for Guardiola at Man City, with Bacary Sagna now 33 and Pablo Zabaleta likely to leave the club.

Kimmich could be a decent option for him, with the starlet able to fill the position while also being able to move into midfield when needed.
