Manchester City are believed to be looking into adding Schalke defender Sead Kolasinac to their ranks in January, according to The Daily Mail.
AS Roma are also believed to also be interested in signing Kolasnic after having a bid rejected in the summer, but the player’s agent is keen for a move for his client this January.
Kolasnic’s agent, Gordon Stipic-Wipfler, has been pushing for a move and he has even touted the option of a loan move with the option to buy, according to reports.
Kolasnic is a versatile defensive player who can play at either left or centre-back and has also featured in midfield for Schalke. It is hardly surprising that City are looking to add to their defensive ranks after some of the performances from their back line already this season, which has been breached 17 times in league action.
Citizens fans are likely to be happy to see someone around to compete with Gael Clichy, whilst Wipfler’s valuation of around £5.8m is pocket money for a club like Manchester City.
