Man City considering shock move for Swansea sensation

Manchester City are keeping a close eye on Swansea’s Andre Ayew as Pep Guardiola continues his summer overhaul at the Etihad Stadium, according to reports from ESPN.

The Ghana international joined the Swans on a free transfer last year after seeing out his contract at Marseille and is considered to be a key player at the club.

His addition was seen as a major coup at the time, and Ayew was an instant hit in the south of Wales with three goals in his opening four league games – a tally he took to 12 in total.

And reports claim that this form has alerted Man City, as well as Napoli, with the Citizens keeping a close eye on the 26-year-old.

Ayew has made no secret of his desire to leave the Liberty Stadium for a Champions League club in his 12 months in Swansea, while his versatility – he can play in any forward position – may appeal to Guardiola, who is known to appreciate flexibility in his players.
