Man City eyeing Arsenal Champions League heartbreakers

Manchester City are targeting a double summer move for Monaco’s left-back Layvin Kurzawa and midfield enforcer Geoffrey Kondogbia, according to reports from The Sun.

The duo are considered to be two of the Ligue 1 side’s finest talents, and both featured as the Mediterranean outfit knocked Arsenal out of the Champions League earlier this year.

Kondogbia netted in the clash at the Emirates Stadium, and it appears that he’s now a top target for City.

With Yaya Toure edging towards the Etihad Stadium exit door, the France international could be a direct replacement.

Powerful and athletic, the 22-year-old former Sevilla man is considered to be one of the best young talents in his position in European football.

As well as Kondogbia, City are also after Kurzawa.

Also 22, the full-back is a product of Monaco’s youth system and has already represented France twice at international level.

City will be buoyed by recent suggestions that he’s looking to leave the Stade Louis II.
