The alarm bells are ringing at the Etihad Stadium, as last night’s 1-0 defeat to Manchester United in the EFL Cup condemned Manchester City to six games without a win in all competitions.
Failing to register a single shot on target last night, City were woeful and things won’t get any easier in the next few matches as they face West Brom, Barcelona and Middlesbrough.
Pep Guardiola’s honeymoon period at the club has been over for a number of weeks now and he faces intense pressure to turn things around, with the Citizens having already conceded their advantage in the Premier League title race and in need of big improvements if they are to advance in the Champions League.
With Guardiola previously heralded as the messiah, the form of Pep’s side has really started to worry Manchester City fans, and it’s fair to say that had this been Manuel Pellegrini, or another less high-profile manager, then the writing may well be on the wall.
With a squad as talented as City’s, there really are no excuses for this sort of form and, naturally, fans are starting to ask questions.
If we don't win at the weekend, I will be very worried. #mcfc

Pep Guardiola has aged a hell of a lot since he became City's boss. Looks a worried old man. Should he go for the good of his health?
