Manchester City are interested in boosting their attacking options with the transfer of West Brom striker Saido Berahino, according to The Mirror.
The newspaper reports that City’s disastrous end to their pre-season in Stuttgart means that Pellegrini needs to do something more in the transfer market before the end of the month.
West Brom are said to want £25m for the England U-21 international who scored 14 Premier League goals last season.
Manchester City have enquired about Berahino and have asked West Brom to keep them updated about any bids that come in for the striker as Newcastle and Spurs are reportedly interested in his signature.
As Manchester City are seemingly linked with every young English talent this summer, the Mirror now also tells us that City are now out of the running to sign coveted Everton centre back John Stones, leaving Manchester United and Chelsea to battle for the young England international.
