The 19-year-old is the latest youngster to emerge from Dynamo Zagreb’s endless conveyor belt of exciting talent, boasting eleven goals in 68 appearances for the Croatian side – who lifted the Prva HNL title once again last season.
He’s also a regular for Croatia at senior level, with eleven caps to date, and was part of the squad that were eliminated from Euro 2016 in the Round of 16.
Chelsea, Tottenham and Liverpool have all targeted the midfielder in the past but according to The Daily Mail, it’s Manchester City who are currently primed to acquire his signature.
They claim Zagreb are now looking to finalise a deal with the Citizens worth £8million plus potential add-ons.
Acquiring young talent has been central to the Etihad outfit’s summer transfer policy, already sealing deals for the likes of Leroy Sane and Gabriel Jesus.
