Man City looking to save £25m via stunning swap transfer with Everton

According to reports from The Sun, Manchester City are looking to complete a stunning swap transfer with Everton.

The Citizens have been tipped to rapidly accelerate their long-standing interest in England international John Stones now that the Three Lions’ Euro 2016 campaign has come to an end, but the Toffees reportedly value him in excess of £45million.

However, Pep Guardiola’s side are hoping to reduce Stones’ price tag by offering Wilfried Bony, who has managed just six Premier League goals in 18 months at the Etihad, in exchange for the 22-year-old defender.

And it’s claimed the Goodison outfit would be interested in the curious swap deal should they be forced to offload star striker Romelu Lukaku, with Chelsea and Manchester United amongst others reportedly targeting the £65million-rated Belgium international.

City are hoping a bid worth £20million plus Bony will convince Everton to do business – whilst freeing up room in their squad for £60million target Pierre-Emerick Aubameyang.
