Man City one of four elite Euro clubs after teenage Brazilian sensation

Manchester City are one of four elite European clubs willing to offer Palmeiras sensation Gabriel Jesus a move across the Atlantic Ocean, according to reports from Globo Esporte.

The 19-year-old forward, who will represent his nation at the Olympic Games, has emerged as one of the finest young players in his native Brazil, and has already netted 10 league goals in 14 outings so far in 2016, as well as a further four in the Copa Libertadores (South America’s answer to the Champions League).

Naturally, this sort of promise has attracted admiring glances from Europe’s top teams, and reports claim that Man City, alongside Bayern Munich, Barcelona and Real Madrid, are keen on the teenager.

The Citizens’ interest in the player is nothing new – it was claimed last month that they had opened their bidding for him at around £16.7m – and should he move to the Etihad Stadium he would follow youngster Oleksandr Zinchenko, as well as, potentially, Marlos Moreno.

However, Bayern are seen as the front-runners for Gabriel Jesus, who could be a replacement for the exit-bound Mario Gotze.
