Man City poised to make fresh bid for wantaway Liverpool star

The Sunday Express are reporting that Manchester City are prepared to lodge a third bid for unsettled Liverpool star Raheem Sterling.

The Reds are believed to be prepared to sell the 20-year-old – for an absolute minimum of £50 million.

After having a second bid of £40 million rejected by the Anfield club earlier this week, City have not been put off by the extra £10 million that is being asked of them as they are determined to bring in one of England’s most promising and exciting young players.

The City hierarchy are also aware that other clubs including Real Madrid and Premier League rivals Arsenal and Chelsea are monitoring Sterling’s situation.

They do not want to miss out on Sterling and are expected to submit a fresh new bid in the next few days which will match Liverpool’s valuation for the forward.Sterling made 31 appearances in the league last season, scoring seven goals.
