According to reports from Turkish-Football, Aleksandar Kolarov is one step closer to completing a summer transfer to Besiktas.
The Serbian international has made 200 appearances across all competitions, scoring twenty goals, since moving to the Etihad Stadium six years ago.
In that time, he’s lifted two Premier league titles, an FA Cup, a Capital One Cup and won the Serbian Footballer of the Year award.
But now aged 30 and into the final two years of his Eastlands contract, the left-back’s Citizens career appears set to come to an end this summer.
The Sun reported last week that Kolarov had held successful talks with Turkish outfit Besitkas, even agreeing personal terms and a £50k per week contract.
And the veteran full-back’s bid to join the Super Lig champions now appears one step closer to completion, with Turkish-Football exclusively reporting that City have given the green light on his departure for around £3million.
That suggests City will move for another left-back during the summer window.
