Former Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini has opened up about the possibility of bringing Yaya Toure to Inter Milan, Express reports.
The 31-year-old joined the current Premier League side back in 2010 and has now become one of the club’s most important players.
But although he still has over two years on his current deal at the club, he was linked with an exit to Paris Saint-Germain during the summer after speculation he had fallen out with the back-room staff at the Etihad Stadium.
Mancini, who signed the Ivorian from Barcelona five years ago, revealed he may once again be interested in trying to lure him away from his club, this time from the Premier League to Serie A.
He said: “In the future if he wants to change and wants to try and play in Italy then Inter is open for him.
“We’re working on it. But it depends because he is a City player. You know, there are some players who may change team and Yaya is one of them. Next year we may try: we just need three champions to close the gap with Juventus.”
Toure’s absence while he represents Ivory Coast in the African Cup of Nations has seen Man City suffer a three game winless run, picking up a draw and two losses.
