Edwin Dzeko proved his doubters wrong by scoring for Manchester City against Liverpool in today’s Premier League game. The Bosnia and Herzegovina international provided a neat finish after a lovely reverse pass from Sergio Aguero.
Many had questioned the decision to start Dzeko when Wilfried Bony was again left on the bench by Manuel Pellegrini. However, Pellegrini seemingly prefers Edin Dzeko for the understanding that the player has built up with fellow striker Sergio Aguero over the years, and the pair demonstrated this perfectly with some nice link-up play for the goal today.
The game remains evenly poised at 1-1 following a wonder strike from Jordan Henderson. Before the this goal, City were the only Premier League team not to concede one from range. However, they still lead those charts themselves with 10 goals from outside the penalty area.
Liverpool, on the other hand, have had 14 different scorers in the Premier League, the joint-most along with Arsenal.
Has someone cloned Dzeko? Different player since Bony arrived #Mcfc

Delightful goal for City, manufactured brilliantly by Aguero, finished confidently by Dzeko. Cracking game.
