Manchester City boss Manuel Pellegrini has confirmed that Sergio Aguero is still struggling with a heel injury, according to the Daily Mail.
The Argentine international has often been the subject of injuries in recent seasons, missing large parts of each of the last two campaigns for the Etihad outfit.
He had already missed seven games this year with a hamstring injury before returning to the squad in the loss against Liverpool.
Now, Pellegrini has confirmed the 27-year old is struggling to walk after suffering a heel injury and is likely to miss the next two games, including the crunch Champions League tie with Borussia Monchengladbach.
‘It is an injury he cannot work on’, revealed the 62-year old.
‘He needs time to recover. It is not a serious injury but it is a pain injury’, he added.
The former Atletico Madrid striker has been restricted to light swimming pool related training as a result of struggling to put pressure on his heel.
Club captain Vincent Kompany will also miss tonight’s game with the Bundesliga outfit, and is another key player who has struggled to string a run of first-team games together this season.
