Manchester City star Wilfried Bony has come out to reveal that he is not looking to leave the club, despite speculation surrounding a possible exit.
The 27-year-old has found regular playing time very hard to come by ever since his £28m transfer from Swansea City around a year ago.
It was believed that the striker fell out with manager Manuel Pellegrini over his decision to select Sergio Aguero ahead of him when he returned from a knock despite the fact that he was on a good run of form.
Aguero is still considered the first choice option despite his injury spell, given that the Argentina international has managed to score 10 goals in 15 league appearances this season.
Despite apparent frustrations over his role at the Etihad, the Ivory Coast international recently admitted that is happy with his life at the Manchester club, regardless of links with a Swansea return.
“I’m happy at the club, all this speculation is not true,” he is quoted by BBC Sport.
“I have a contract so I’m happy and I think I’m at one of the top clubs in the United Kingdom.
“I have no regrets about joining Man City.
“We play in the Champions League and we’re one of the top clubs in the world. I’m happy here and I can just say I’m blessed.”
Bony has already featured 23 times in all competitions for his side this term so far, managing to score eight goals. But, he has often been used as a substitute.
