Italian club Fiorentina have ruled out the sale of star man Stevan Jovetic amidst interest from Manchester City and Juventus, according to Sky Sports News.
Fiorentina owner Diego Della Valle has insisted that Jovetic will remain with the Florence club for the foreseeable future and history dictates that he will fight to save his best players after similar discussions two years ago regarding now AC Milan player Riccardo Montolivo.
“My brother (president Andrea Della Valle) has already said in all languages that Jovetic is staying at Fiorentina,” Diego Della Valle told La7.
“It’s not the first time that my family has decided to keep our star players and say ‘no’ to offers.
“But if someone wants to negotiate a deal for any Fiorentina player, then he must ring the doorbell and politely ask what we think about it.
“Whoever acts differently will not get along with us.”
