Man City to beat Man United to Colombia attacker, transfer fee agreed

According to reports from The Daily Mail, Manchester City have agreed an £8million transfer fee for South American prodigy Marlos Moreno.

The nomadic forward is just 19 years of age but has already made 26 top flight appearances for current club Atletico Nacional, scoring five times, and represented Colombia on seven occasions.

The teenager scored his first international goal at the Copa America earlier this month, in a 3-2 defeat to Costa Rica, and is attracting plenty of interest from Europe’s top clubs ahead of the summer window.

Indeed, according to The Daily Mail, Sporting Lisbon have already seen a bid rejected by Nacional, whilst Benfica and Manchester United are also believed to be chasing Moreno.

But it appears Manchester City are head and shoulders above the rest in the race for the youngster’s signature, having just agreed an £8million transfer fee with the Colombian club.

Incoming manager Pep Guardiola reportedly intends to loan Moreno out to a La Liga club for next season to help integrate him into European football.
