Despite being the Premier League’s January/February transfer window’s most expensive signing, Wilfried Bony has had a, let’s say, minimal impact so far. The Ivorian spent a large chunk of time so far away with his home nation claiming African football’s top prize, but since his return he’s dipped in and out of Manuel Pellegrini’s thoughts, with Sergio Aguero very much the main man.
However, with a need for goals and a win to keep the pressure on Chelsea in the race for the Premier League title, the Chilean has gone all out at home to West Brom, handing Bony a slot in his starting team alongside the Argentine hit-man. With the Baggies very much battling at the lower end of the table, the Etihad Stadium clash provides him with ample chance to get off the mark in the sky blue shirt, and man, many fans were happy to see him get the nod…

Lampard starts in midfield with Fernando, Silva and Navas. Aguero and Bony form a potentially lethal strike force. City need all 3pts. #MCFC

Seven changes for City – time to bed Mangala and Bony in properly after Barca defeat. Big game for those two #mcfc
