Manchester City were surely in a state of disbelief when Marten De Roon’s late header beat Claudio Bravo to make it 1-1. The Sky Blues had dominated the match against Middleborough up until half-time, and even though the Teessiders grew back into things, the Citizens looked to have done enough to get the win they needed to move three points clear at the top of the table.
However, the Dutchman’s effort cancelled out Sergio Aguero’s 150th goal for the club, leaving Pep Guardiola’s men, albeit in the mix for the title, in a less solid position than they were just a few weeks ago.
Perhaps more worryingly than that, though, is that Man City have now managed only two wins since the start of October, with only one of those in the league.

After such an amazing start to his reign at the Etihad Stadium, Guardiola appears to be finding out just why the Premier League is thought of as the tightest top division of them all!
