Well, well well... who saw that coming? Certainly not us.

A stunning second half performance by Pep Guardiola's City side has given them a huge 2-1 victory over Arsenal, moving into second place in the Premier League table.

Their fans may have hated the team selection, they may have been dismayed by the first half but Man City have proved they have the team spirit required to pull massive results out of the bag from the brink of defeat.

Kevin De Bruyne and Leroy Sane both produced sensational attacking displays alongside match-winner Raheem Sterling.

It was Sane who latched onto David Silva's inch perfect pass to get the Citizens level before Sterling showed his tremendous skill and finishing ability to fire the second past a helpless Petr Cech, assisted by De Bruyne.

The performance of Sane was a particular surprise given that he hadn't scored a single goal so far this season, with fans sometimes questioning the decision to bring him to Manchester in the summer.

Those questions were answered today and Pep Guardiola must be delighted that some of his doubters have been proved wrong.

For Man City fans all that matters is the result that has closed the gap on Chelsea to 7 points...
