Manchester City achieved monumental success in the Premier League and across domestic competitions last season without needing to rely on Benjamin Mendy.

The 24-year-old defender only managed to make ten appearances in the top-flight in the 2019/19 season as he was sidelined by a total of three different injuries.

When all is said and done, Mendy was gone for 124 days, meaning that he missed 33 games in all competitions, paving the way for Oleksandr Zinchenko to establish himself as the club's first choice left-back.

But regardless of those gloomy spells and streaks of bad luck, it seems that he is very much set on returning back into the grind stronger than ever.

For that reason, he's been posting video after video of his most recent recovery and workout sessions.

And he took to Instagram once again to show the fans that he is taking this very seriously.

Despite him spending the most of his time in the stands throughout the 2018/19 campaign, Pep Guardiola is seemingly still counting on his defender to return in good shape.

If the latest reports are to believed, he is very much in Manchester City's plans for the future.
