Manchester City eyeing Barcelona ace

Victor Valdes (Barcelona)Manchester City manager Mauel Pellegrini is ready to launch a move to bring Victor Valdes to the Etihad Stadium to replace Joe Hart, according to reports from the Sunday People.

Rumours suggest that the Chilean has grown frustrated with his error-prone stopper, and is ready to offload him in January.

If he can find a club willing to match the England number one’s valuation, he could move for Barca’s Victor Valdes to step in as his first choice goalkeeper.

The Spaniard is set to leave the Nou Camp at the end of the season for, free once his contract expires, in search of a new challenge.

Although he is widely expected to join Monaco – where he will be handed a lucrative contract – City are ready to offer him an alternative.

They are hopeful that a genuine chance to compete for the Premier League title may appeal to the man who has won just about every prize on offer in world football, and are keen to benefit from his vast experience.

If they are unable to persuade him to join them, QPR’s Julio Cesar is seen as an ideal alternative.

The Brazilian was the Super Hoops’ standout performer as they were relegated last season, and is desperate to make a big move to stay in Brazil’s squad ahead of the World Cup.

Should Manchester City stick with Joe Hart? Or would Victor Valdes be a better option?
