Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to respond to rumours regarding the potential departure of defender Nicolas Otamendi, after the Argentina international was reportedly seeking talks with Pep Guardiola over his lack of action this season, as per The Sun.

The former Valencia defender has lost his place in the side as John Stones and Aymeric Laporte have developed an outstanding partnership at the back for the Citizens.

The 30-year-old arrived at the Etihad back in 2015 in a big-money move from La Liga, and has since made 144 appearances for the club - as well as making the PFA Team of the Year for 2017/18.

This season, however, a combination of injuries and the aforementioned duo's imperious form has seen the defender feature in just seven games so far throughout the campaign, where he has struggled to make an impact.
