When Claudio Bravo was recruited by Pep Guardiola in 2016 as Joe Hart's replacement in goal, many Manchester City fans were excited.

The Chile international arrived at the Etihad Stadium with two years playing at Barcelona behind him.

However, Bravo struggled to adapt to the fierceness of the Premier League and he made a few notable howlers.

Guardiola tried to fix the problem last summer by bringing in Brazilian shot-stopper Ederson from Benfica.

The 24-year-old swiftly became first choice, and he is expected to maintain the number one role for the foreseeable future.

Bravo may have been part of a title-winning squad last season, but he barely featured, making just three top-flight outings, and two of them were starts.

With Ederson firmly at the top of the pile, Bravo may end up considering his future, but it is unlikely that he will be joining up with ex-City boss Manuel Pellegrini at West Ham United.

The East London outfit are in the market for a new shot-stopper given that Joe Hart is expected to return to City following the end of his loan spell.

While speaking to Encuentro El Mercurio, Pellegrini admitted that it would not be "viable" for the Hammers to sign Bravo.

City fans seem so desperate for the keeper to be offloaded, they are taking it into his own hands.
