Manchester City fans disagree with Neville’s Team of the Season selection

Those associated with Manchester City are unlikely to see eye to eye with anyone connected to local rivals Manchester United, particularly the clubs’ fans.

This week, Sky Sports pundit Gary Neville, who is regarded as a United legend, named his Premier League Team of the Season.

Given that Pep Guardiola’s City charges stormed to the title, it makes sense that a number of the players were included in the best XI.

In fact, Kyle Walker, Vincent Kompany, Kevin De Bruyne, David Silva and Raheem Sterling all got the nod from Neville.

Interestingly, though, a number of City fans have questioned the selection of one of their own players.

Kompany has been struggling with injury problems over the last few years, and this season was no different.

In fact, the centre-back has been on the sidelines numerous times, amounting to around four months.

Nicolas Otamendi has been a regular at the back for City due to Kompany’s absence, but Neville thought the Belgian was more worthy of a spot in his best XI.

The supporters were also confused by the ex-United star’s decision not to include Leroy Sane, Fernandinho or Sergio Aguero.
