Manchester City fans post mixed reactions to Mahrez, Bertrand interest

Manchester City fans have no shortage of cash thanks to the billions being pumped into the club by owner Sheikh Mansour.

After winning their third Premier League title in seven seasons, it is safe to say that manager Pep Guardiola will be given free rein on which players are recruited this summer.

According to the Daily Mail, the successful coach will be handed a transfer kitty of more than £100m to strengthen his current champions.

Unsurprisingly, City fans were overjoyed by the spending rumours, which included claims that a central midfielder and winger are top priorities for the manager.

The Mirror reports that the club are considering making a fresh approach for Leicester City star Riyad Mahrez after their £60m bid in January was knocked back.

However, the publication states that City were not impressed by the Algerian’s refusal to attend training following his failed move.

Southampton left-back Ryan Bertrand is also back on City’s radar, according to The Mirror, but Benjamin Mendy is likely to be first option when he regains fitness for next season.

City fans have now taken to Twitter to post their thoughts on the club’s alleged targets.
