Manchester City fans have taken to Twitter to react after UEFA opened an investigation into the club’s alleged financial fair play violations.
The Citizens are under scrutiny, and are also facing the wrath of the Football Association. The FA are looking into claims that the club paid £200,000 to the agent of Jadon Sancho, back when the now-Borussia Dortmund winger was just 14.
Who has been Man City’s best player this season? Pl>ymaker FC’s Ant Cooper has his say in the video below…
City have already been found guilty of breaching FFP rules back in 2014. In that instance, the club was made to pay a £49m fine, £32m of which was suspended, whilst they were also made to reduce their squad for the 2014/15 Champions League campaign.
If found guilty once more, the reigning Premier League champions could face a ban from the Champions League.
It is also being reported that at least 12 Premier League clubs have written to the FA asking what action they plan to take over the alleged breaches.
Let’s see what Manchester City fans on Twitter are saying…
