After a first defeat of the Premier League season so far to Chelsea last time out, reigning champions Manchester City got back to winning ways with a stylish 3-1 victory over Everton at the Etihad Stadium.

Pep Guardiola named Kevin De Bruyne, Sergio Aguero, Raheem Sterling and John Stones all on the bench, but his side still had far too much quality in their starting XI for the Toffees to handle.

Leading the line was Gabriel Jesus, who after a long barren run in front of goal in the league notched a well-taken brace on Saturday. The man he has to thank though is the Cityzens’ winger, Leroy Sane, who was once again in scintillating form and provided the assists for both of Jesus’ goals.
