The Bosnian international was linked with a summer switch to the Etihad Stadium, and has been once again mentioned as a potential target for Sky Blues, who are said to be lining up replacements for Joe Hart.
Begovic has been one of the most consistent stoppers in the Premier League since establishing himself as the Potters’ number one, leading to rumours of moves to some of the Premier League’s elite sides.
Despite being heavily linked with a £15m move to City, the 26-year-old says that he is content at Stoke and not looking to leave in January:
“I don’t pay too much heed. All I worry about is working hard here.” He is quoted by the Daily Star.
“I am settled here and I am enjoying the work I am doing on a daily basis.
“I have a huge amount of faith in what the manager is looking to achieve here.”
Hart has found himself on the peripheries of Manuel Pellegrini’s City starting XI since his error laden start to the season, with Costel Pantilimon now the Chilean’s ‘keeper of choice.
Although Begovic is one of Stoke’s big name players, he has been linked with a move away in preparation for Jack Butland’s return from a loan move – with the highly-rated England international expected to be a future star under Mark Hughes.
