Manchester City fans are known as a fervent bunch. They endlessly tease their Manchester United counterparts about the glory-hunting element of the Red Devils support – United fans may come from London and Malaysia, but City fans come from Manchester, they say.
Well, as with all hardcore support, you get the real nutters. It’s not that they’re bad people. It’s just that they support their club in a way that most of us wouldn’t. They’re just different, shall we say!

Well, now that Manchester City are about to change their badge away from the controversial eagle with three stars above it, the club’s hierarchy are thinking of giving their inked-up fans a break. Those fans who got a Manchester City tattoo with the current badge (the one that will be changed) will have the opportunity to ask the club to pay for laser tattoo removal.
It’s a funny story, and we’ll laugh a lot about it, especially given the awful tattoos we’ve seen going viral. But really, it’s a heart-warming story of a club that cares about its fans.
So laugh, have your fun, but take your hats off to City for such a wonderful gesture. In the words of Martin Tyler: stupendous.
