Manchester City fans are certainly embracing the love now that their team have secured the Premier League title.
It was widely expected that Pep Guardiola’s side would be crowned English champions, but it was officially confirmed on Sunday.
After taking their lead back up to 16 points with a 3-1 victory over Tottenham Hotspur at Wembley on Saturday, the club needed Manchester United to slip up in order to win the trophy this weekend.
Not many would have expected the Red Devils to lose to bottom-of-the-table West Bromwich Albion, but the Baggies upset the odds to earn a 1-0 victory, which sparked a flurry of anger towards manager Jose Mourinho from United fans.
Now is a time for celebration at City following a dismal week in which they were beaten in the Champions League quarter-finals by Liverpool and suffered a 3-2 loss to United in the league.
Former City manager Roberto Mancini was one of many football figures to send congratulatory messages to the North-West outfit.

The Italian coach knows the feeling of winning England’s top-flight crown all too well having guided City to a dramatic finish in the 2011-12 season.
As well as lifting the league title, during his four-year spell, Mancini also scooped the FA Cup.
Unsurprisingly, City fans were delighted by their ex-manager’s tweet.
