Manuel Pellegrini has again been linked with the Man City manager’s job, with reports in Spain saying he will take over this summer.
City’s inability to mount a serious defence of their Premier League title has prompted speculation that Mancini will be shown the Etihad Stadium exit door this summer, even if they manage to beat Wigan and lift the FA Cup on Saturday.
Pellegrini’s name has been mentioned as a possible successor to the Italian tactician, despite the fact that he has an apparent 4 million euros release clause in his contract.
The Chilean has done well at Malaga since taking over in 2010 and they are on the verge of qualifying for the Europa League, but, if rumours are to believed, he will not be at the helm to guide them in Europe next season.
