Manchester City boss Roberto Mancini was unfairly treated by the big spending club believes Everton boss David Moyes.
The Scot, who will take over from Sir Alex Ferguson at Old Trafford when his contract with the Toffees runs out at the end of the season, believes that Mancini deserved more time.
The City boss was given the boot a year to the day after he helped the side to secure the Premier League title.
Moyes is currently the third longest-serving manager in the top flight, spending 11 years at the helm of the Merseyside club and he believes that the Italian has been ‘harshly’ treated.
Moyes said: “It is difficult to say on Mancini because I am not on the inside there.
“But I look at a club that has now won a title and FA Cup recently, been in another FA Cup final and finished second in the league. It’s harsh.”
