The Serbian international has spent six years at the Etihad Stadium, making 200 appearances across all competitions and scoring twenty goals.
But it appears the two-time Premier League title winner will undertake a new challenge next season after holding successful transfer talks with Besiktas over the weekend.
The 30-year-old is said to have agreed a £50k per-week contract with the Turkish champions after discovering that he’s not part of Pep Guardiola’s plans for the 2016/17 campaign.
And Besiktas, who claimed last season’s Super Lig title with a five-point margin, are hoping to wrap up the deal within the next 48 hours.
They’re holding a fan event at the end of the week and want to unveil Kolarov, who can also be deployed as a left midfielder, as their first coup of the summer.
