The U-21 European Championship got off to a bad start for the young English side.

The Young Lions, despite their big ambitions, have opened the tournament with a tough defeat to France, and some of the players have taken to social media to share their post-defeat feelings. But most were, in fact, silent on the matter.

Manchester City's young pearl, Phil Foden, was one of those who didn't hide from the public and posted an

This act was very much met with a lot of positive feedback from everyone, including his teammates and rivals who were impressed by the youngster's attitude as well as his performance on the pitch.

The first ones to comment were the big accounts of both of his teams - Manchester City and England, posting emojis showing their support.

And then came the sea of players wishing him all the best and sending praise towards the youngster. Some were his teammates, some were rivals and some were just friends but they were all united in Foden's comment section.

Foden has also had quite the season at Manchester City. Despite being just 19 years old, he has already appeared 13 times for the Citizens last season and also managed to score one goal. He was also the one who scored England's only goal in the defeat against France.

If the early signs are anything to go by, the future for this youngster looks very bright indeed.
