The Chilean tried to pass of the benching his captain as an attempt to freshen things up but most in the English game read it differently.
Pellegrini will be confident of his side getting the three points today as City are unbeaten in their last six visits to Turf Moor in all competitions, winning the last five in a row and scoring 17 times in the last four.
Added to this is the fact that no team has stopped Manchester City from scoring in their last 20 Premier League away matches.
