Aston Villa manager was slapped a whopping £60m price tag on teenage sensation Jack Grealish, amid reports linking him with a move to the Premier League big boys, according to reports in the Daily Star.
The controversial youngster has hit headlines for all the wrong reasons, but some good performances throughout his early career clearly has left a mark on his current boss.
Former Spurs boss Sherwood stated ‘I wouldn’t want to sell Jack Grealish for £60m today.’
The teenager is yet to decide on his international future, with England boss Roy Hodgson thought to be monitoring his situation.
He has previously appeared for the Republic of Ireland under-21’s but is eligible to appear for the Three Lions at senior level.
He’s appeared 19 times for the Villa Park outfit, scoring his first senior strike in the 3-2 loss to Leicester a few weeks ago.
The 19-year old impressed when he came on as a substitute in the second city derby Capital One Cup win over fierce rivals Birmingham.
